-At Ace High Leathers we pride ourselves in the materials we choose to represent our products as well as the craftsmanship that goes into our creations. We don’t settle for less when it comes to the hardware we incorporate into our products. We don’t settle for less when it comes to the quality of leather used in construction either. Customized chaps – We believe that ladies like to look pretty on a bike and that men don’t all want to look alike either! For that reason we offer a variety of spots and snap caps which can change the look of your chaps from “black and boring” to “bling” or “different”.

We cater to both men and women who want a different look in the riding gear. If you have an idea of what you would like to see on your chaps, let us know. We work with you on a one on one basis designing the image which you want to have on your customized chaps. We don't limit you only to the colors that we have on hand, its up to you. It the belief at Ace High Leathers that what you already have in riding apparel can be enhanced and made to be as unique as you!

Chap construction – Unless otherwise specified by you, our chaps are made out of 3 to 3.5 oz. oil tanned leather. As a comparsion, low cost imported leathers are rarely more than 2.75 oz.... much thinner. We use high quality zippers on all custom made chaps which not only last longer but give you the performance you deserve.
Styles - Our products are designed for uniqueness in color schemes, usefulness and beauty. Our styles are designed to be show stoppers and to appeal to many different tastes. You can say that we love being different!

Hardware – We don’t want any of our products winding up with rusty hardware. We make sure that the conchos, snaps, buckles, hardware and spots DO NOT RUST (and believe me, we make sure our suppliers know this also!)

Accessories – We test our accessories ourselves! Why not? If they aren’t going to work for us they certainly won’t work for you! We take in consideration usefulness and quality as well as appearance.

Velcro, Nylon Webbing and Plastic – We strive to create a long lasting product using traditional leather hardware and techniques. We limit the use of the Velcro, nylon webbing and plastic unless it improves the functionality of our products. You will never find plastic edging or trim on our chaps or tank bibs. If at any time our customers prefer to have any of these products incorporated into their custom orders we will gladly “build to suit”.

How we get started on a tank bib - Each bib is handcrafted which means that we start with a template which we designed from a real bike, not just a photograph and of course a high quality 6 oz hide (thank-you cows!). Each bib is carefully hand cut, stamped with precision and dyed to perfection! We then back each bib with soft 3-4 oz suede to protect the tank from scratching. Each back is sewn on to the front panel thus producing a finished product that is approximately 10 oz thick, not to mention sturdy. Stiff and unforgiving? Not at all, our bibs are thick yet sturdy and mold nicely to your tank giving it a look of fine quality.

Dyeing process – We may not be quick to give away our trade secrets but we will tell you this: we strive for richness and variety in color beyond any on the motorcycle market today. We experiment endlessly until we have the color which we call “knock down beautiful”! Then we take it a step further by testing it on our bikes, yep, in the sun, wind, rain and road grit before it hits the market!
Leather Finish – We use only the highest quality leather finishes on our products. Our tank bibs stand up to even gasoline spills! We waterproof our tank bibs and kangaroo bags to with stand all types of weather and we guarantee it.
